West Lake Street
Construction for the METRO Green Line Extension is ongoing. At West Lake Street station, that project will build stairways and elevators providing access between the BRT platforms on the Lake Street bridge to the light rail platform below (see image below; the right side of the image shows the structure containing stairs, elevators, and indoor waiting areas at the Lake Street bridge). B Line construction will upgrade Lake Street-level transit facilities at this location to a full BRT station with standard station amenities; however, no standalone B Line shelter will be constructed at this station because both platforms will include a covered waiting area.
