Temporary Public Art/Placemaking Opportunities

Are you a community group wanting to spruce up your local transit stop? You can submit a proposal for a temporary art installation by submitting a Property Usage Request form. Not sure what’s possible? Check out the Bus Stop Placemaking and Community Identification Catalog of Possibilities (PDF).

Winter of 2021-2022 Placemaking and Community Engagement Grant. Metro Transit has grants for five or six Placemaking Projects at bus shelters with a community engagement component. For more info visit metrotransit.org/placemaking.

The Public Art in Transit program expresses Metro Transit's commitment to excellence. Metro Transit encourages creativity and innovation in all things, including art in its public places. The integrated public art program supports function with forms that may inspire discovery in otherwise predictable spaces.
