Hennepin Avenue Station Public Art

Each station along the Blue Line not only has public art but each architectural design team included an artist.

This station was designed by Elness Swenson Graham, architects.

The design blends the history of the Warehouse District with the emerging Entertainment District. Large tiles featuring historic photos of the Warehouse District are set in walls made of a variety of bricks that replicate nearby building facades.  Silver columns on the Hennepin Avenue side tie to the Entertainment District.  Green columns on the 1st Avenue side are reminiscent of light poles that once adorned the Warehouse District.
