Complete this form about where and when the item was lost and a detailed description of what the item looks like (a photo helps!) Lost & Found staff will contact you if your item was recovered to make an appointment for pick-up in Minneapolis or arrange to have the item mailed. If you don’t hear back from us, your item was not recovered.

Please note:

  • The onsite Lost & Found window is no longer open for walk-up inquiries.
  • It may take up to 36 hours for Metro Transit to process lost items.
  • If you don’t hear back from us within 3 business days, follow up with us by phone at 612-373-3333.

Details of item lost
Include bus route number or METRO line. Example: 61, A Line, or Blue Line.
Lunchbox, bike, etc.
Please be as descriptive as possible, such as color, size, brand name, etc. For example: "Samsung Galaxy phone in a blue and gray plastic case with a sticker on the back."
File type can be gif, jpg, jpeg, png or pdf. The maximum file size for jpg/jpeg files is 10mb. The maximum file size for gif, png, and pdf is 4mb.
